District Development Assembly

The DDA is a registered volunteer body working with the district administration and serving as the development arm of the people. The DDA links and expands grassroots participation in development to the provincial level and will be able to advise donors and other stakeholders of each districts’ common priorities and needs. The DDA will support the district administration with an improved and structured decision-making capacity with respect to development priorities and activities. In particular, the DDA will facilitate the district with planning, management, project implementation, monitoring of progress, evaluation and mobilization of the resources. The DDA will ensure communities are involved, included and empowered with established ownership, through consultation and participation in the identification of comprehensive development priority.
