Himalayan Experience

Two paths. One direction.

Mountains have shaped our lives in very different ways.
One through climbing. One through yoga and meditation.

Somewhere along the way, those paths became one.

We don’t believe the mountain and the mind are opposites.
For us, they have always belonged together.

This is where we come from.
And this is where we are going.

MOUNTAIN & MIND.

HIMEX × Stephan × Tiffany.

30 YEARS OF HIMEX.

1996 — 2026.

Thirty years ago, Russell Brice founded Himalayan Experience.

What followed was not simply a company, but three decades of expeditions, friendships, difficult decisions, extraordinary moments — and countless days in the world’s highest mountains.

HIMEX was built by many people: guides, Sherpas, staff, partners, clients and friends. People who shared responsibility for one another in places where responsibility matters.

Today, 30 years later, the story continues.

Different people. Different times. The same respect for the mountains.

Experience over ego.
Responsibility over summits.

Thank you, Russell, for starting this journey.

And thank you to everyone who has been part of HIMEX along the way.

The next chapter has begun.

HIMEX · 1996—2026

HIMEX. Himalayan Experience since 1996.

For three decades, we have been guiding people into the world’s highest mountains.

Experience has taught us that mountaineering is not only about reaching summits.

It is knowing when to go.
When to wait.
And when to turn around.

Experience over ego.
Responsibility over summits.

This is HIMEX.

Himex Expedition 2024

“There are two mistakes on the way to knowledge: first, not to begin it, second, not to complete it. "

Rather than having a concrete definition of who you want to become or what you want to achieve, have a direction. Define a direction, a path, and follow it diligently. This is better than a strictly-defined outcome because a direction can lead you to unexpected places whereas a concrete outcome usually leads to disappointment.

"To my mind the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being.
The more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of humankind."
