Thermal Imaging at Myponga 🔥🌿

Here’s a thermal image from a home in Myponga we inspected today after the owners reported overheating during warm weather.

The bright orange areas show heat pouring into the living space — and the cooler purple zones reveal where the insulation has already been installed. The scan quickly confirmed the issue, sections of the ceiling insulation were missing or poorly installed, creating hot spots and uneven temperatures throughout the home.

Fortunately, this part of the roof space is accessible, so the insulation can be corrected and the home will see an immediate improvement in comfort.

Thermal imaging is a powerful tool for diagnosing hidden performance problems and helping homeowners achieve a cooler, more efficient home.

MVHR First Fix at Wirrina Cove 🌿

Today we completed the MVHR first fix on a new high-performance build at Wirrina Cove with the team at Enduro Builders.

The fresh air and extract ducting is now in place, ready to deliver balanced ventilation, consistent indoor comfort and filtered air once the system is commissioned. This home has been detailed with a strong focus on airtightness and energy efficiency, and the MVHR system will play a key role in maintaining a healthy indoor environment all year round.

Sabik 210 Install in Robe 🌿 Passive House comfort on the Limestone Coast

Our latest project is underway with the installation of a Sabik 210 MVHR unit for a new Passive House build in Robe, proudly working alongside the team at Built by Scanlon.

This home is being crafted with a strong focus on airtightness, thermal performance and year-round comfort — and the Sabik 210 will be a key part of achieving that. The system will continuously supply filtered fresh air, quietly remove stale air, and recover heat energy that would otherwise be lost. The result? Cleaner indoor air, lower running costs, and a much more stable indoor environment regardless of what the coastal weather is doing outside.

It’s exciting to see more high-performance builds taking shape on the Limestone Coast, and even more exciting to help bring Passive House principles to regional SA.

Sabik 350 Install in Middleton 🌿

Today we installed a Sabik 350 MVHR unit for a new high-performance home in Middleton built by the team at 35 Degrees South Building Company.

This system will supply continuous filtered fresh air while recovering heat energy that would normally be lost — helping the home stay comfortable, quiet and efficient all year round. Another great step towards healthier indoor air and better building performance on the Fleurieu.
