Crafted from crystal-clear acrylic and solid brass, this collection celebrates the beauty of light, clarity and contrast. The transparent acrylic captures and reflects its surroundings, creating depth and subtle movement, while the brass adds warmth and timeless refinement.

Now introduced in our velvety bronze finish, offering a richer, moodier interpretation with the same sculptural elegance and considered craftsmanship.

Designed by the brilliant Athena from Athena Calderone, this renovation celebrates the home’s architectural heritage while thoughtfully embracing contemporary living.

The guest bathroom is a striking expression of old and new, where bold materiality meets refined restraint.

Oversized handcrafted lava stone tiles in a rich oxblood hue were custom-made to create a rhythmic architectural composition, while their glossy, lacquer-like finish catches the light and reveals subtle shifts in tone and texture.

The result is a space that feels both intimate and dramatic, proving that exceptional craftsmanship and considered materials can transform even the smallest room into a memorable design.

Let me re-introduce myself!

Hi, I’m Maree — founder of MAPIO.

If you’ve been here for a while, thanks for sticking around. If you’re new, welcome.

A few things about me…

I’m a proud Greek Australian, and my heritage has shaped so much of what MAPIO has become. Every collection draws inspiration from Greek culture, history and mythology—from the names to the stories behind each design.

I have a deep appreciation for thoughtful design and craftsmanship. There’s nothing I enjoy more than taking an idea and refining it into a timeless piece of architectural hardware that becomes part of someone’s home.

I’m also a blessed mum of three amazing teenage kids, who keep me grounded and remind me every day of what matters most.

My favourite music is ‘80s, Greek music and, of course, Bon Jovi. I can watch the Rocky movies on repeat, and when it comes to TV, nothing beats Seinfeld. George Costanza is, without question, the greatest character ever written (I’ll happily argue that one!).

I also cook a pretty mean moussaka—it’s a family favourite and one of my favourite ways to keep our Greek traditions alive around the dinner table.

MAPIO was born from a passion for creating hardware that feels timeless, considered and beautifully made. Every collection is a reflection of my love for design and my Greek heritage, and I’m incredibly grateful that these pieces have found their way into homes across Australia and beyond.

Layered neutrals, soft textures and timeless brass detailing. Our SFERA collection in tumbled brass proves that the smallest details often leave the greatest impression.

An office re-imagined.

A sculptural spiral staircase in a rich oxblood finish anchors the space, rising effortlessly to the mezzanine while becoming the office’s defining architectural feature.

Beyond it, custom steel workstations and felt-lined phone booths create a considered balance of materiality, function and form—where every detail is designed to elevate the everyday workspace.

We are absolutely crushing over this space! A staircase designed to be more than a means of movement.

Hand-carved from Vittoria Regia quartzite, each sculptural curve was carefully crafted and assembled to create a feature that feels both timeless and monumental.

A beautiful reminder that the most memorable spaces are defined by their details.
