Quick Q&A with Speedway Australia!

In April, Tyson Martin Racing took home the National Title for Wingless Sprints, and it wasn't superstition or luck that got him there.

Learn about Tyson's race career below:

🔵How long have you been racing for?
About 12 Years, started in speedway karting back in 2014.

🟢 Favourite track to race on?
Borderline Speedway, Perth Motorplex, and Timmis Speedway would be my Top 3.

🟡Who's the biggest influence on your Speedway career?
Throughout my career there have been so many pivotal people who have helped me in my career defining moments. Though if I had to choose one of my biggest Influences on my career it would have to be my Dad, he got me into racing. He has been there through all the ups and downs, and I will forever be appreciative of what he has done for me.

🔵 Who were the first people you spoke to after crossing the finish line on title night?
My Team - It was amazing to have those who support me all be there. In particular my partner Louise, Dad, and Normie; who are the three biggest contributors to getting me this far in my career

🟢How do you prepare for a race weekend?
Make sure all the work on the car is done prior to the event, then I just try to get a good rest each night leading up to the weekend.

🟡 What's one piece of advice you'd give people who are new to, or looking to try the sport?
Race as many people and tracks as possible.

🔵Do you have any race-day superstitions?
Not really - I try to avoid superstitions

🟢What's next?
Would love to step up to Sprintcars, though still trying to find a way to step up in order to live that dream.

End of Season Presentation Night

Last night we attended the South Australian Wingless Sprints awards night. The club put on a fantastic evening, it was great to catch up with everyone outside of the track.

We were very fortunate to walk away with South Australia’s Driver of the year. We also with MFR won best presented team!

Really grateful for the effort my whole team puts in, the club, the officials, and all those that help us go racing.
