I set my clients an October challenge.
So I took it too.
In The Leap Room, October is Out Loud and Out About. Our visibility challenge for the month.
In the Leap Lab, out about looks like this: in the room, on the stage, at the table, and always in LEAP mode.
My week, out loud and out about:
Out loud: I went live with my new webinar, Get Your Quarter Together.
Out about: Tank Stream Labs Brisbane launch week, from Fishburners Pitch Night to the Ecosystem Mixer.
Click to Customer at The Fore Front.
And today, Empowered Women: Budget, Bricks & Beyond.
Every Friday in the Leap Lab we shout our wins. Not to show off. The wins you notice are the wins you repeat. Your brain goes looking for more of whatever you pay attention to.
Out loud or out about, what’s your win this week?

Apparently, I belong on Shark Tank.
And I’m VERY happy about it 😂🦈
I tried a ChatGPT prompt asking which TV show I looked like I belonged on, based only on my photo.
I love this SO much!
I’ve built and led six businesses, spent more than 20 years in strategy, and worked alongside so many business owners through big ideas, tricky decisions and figuring out what comes next.
And one of my favourite parts of that work? Helping people step back from the day-to-day and think strategically about their business.
I'm definetely involved with many start-up accelerators & pitch nights and Sharks-for-good with 10 x 10 so I kinda think that my AI is right :)
Because when you’re busy running everything, finding time to decide where you’re actually heading can be hard.
That’s why I love quarterly planning. A chance to take stock, ask good questions and make clear choices about where your time and energy will go next.
Tomorrow, we’re doing exactly that.
Join me for Get Your Quarter Sorted, my FREE, 45-minute live workshop. Bring your ideas, your competing priorities and that long to-do list. Let’s give the rest of your year some direction.

FREE LIVE SESSION: GET YOUR QUARTER TOGETHER
This time instead of being a FB live, I'm doing it on a nice webinar platform so I can share my screen & some visuals, so register below (link in comments).
Hear me out. There are 78 days between this Thursday and Christmas.
That's it. 78 days.
I'm running my quarterly planning session for free this time, and here's why.
Every October I watch founders skip planning what's left of the year. Then January arrives and they wonder why they're behind on the goals they were so excited about.
In my Deloitte and agency years, the strategy that worked was never the longest document. It was the one that turned into decisions people made that week. Decisions they believed in and committed to.
Founders rarely get that. The planning happens in January, and by October the plan is a memory and the calendar belongs to clients.
Let's change that.
On Thursday at 12pm AEST (1pm Sydney and Melbourne), I'm running Get Your Quarter Together, a free 45-minute working session online.
Using one of my simple strategic thinking frameworks, we'll find the revenue already sitting in your business, choose three priorities for the next 90 days, and put the first actions in your calendar while we're together.
Registration closes when we go live. Link in the first comment.

A founder said that after planning her business with me. What made the difference wasn't a template. It was time set aside to make real decisions about her own business, instead of adding to the list.
That's what Thursday is. Get Your Quarter Together is a free, live working session at 12pm AEST (1pm Sydney and Melbourne). We'll find where your next revenue could come from, choose three priorities for the next 90 days, and book your first actions into your calendar before we finish.
Free. Online. Register via the link in my bio (or link in comments).
When did your business last get your full attention for 45 minutes?

SUNDAY REFLECTION
I’ve been thinking a lot about direction lately.
Not because I don’t have ideas.
Quite the opposite 😂
I have LOTS of ideas.
Things I could launch.
Things I could change.
Things I could fix.
Things I could start.
And I think sometimes that’s actually the harder place to be.
Because when you’re capable of doing a lot of things, the challenge isn’t figuring out what you could do.
It’s deciding what actually deserves your energy.
I caught myself thinking about that on my walk today.
Maybe we don’t always need another idea, another strategy or another thing added to the list.
Sometimes , we don’t even need to continue following the strategy, the plan that you set out a few months ago.
Because things change. We evolve.
Sometimes we just need to decide:
This is where I’m going.
And give ourselves permission to stop looking at all the other roads for a while.
That’s my Sunday reflection.
What deserves more of your energy this week… and what deserves less?
Share with me ❤️
I’m firm believer in the glass half full and to focus on the positive, I can thank my wonderful mom for that.
And in a week like this week where it feels like so many business owners have been complaining about all kinds of external factors, it’s even more important to STOP. THINK. CELEBRATE your wins.
That’s why I love to do on Fabulous Female Founder Fridays (in case you’re new here, it’s a Fri-yay thing)!
Let me get the ball rolling for you! Here are a few of my weekly wins:
1. We kicked off our Visibility Challenge with my clients, and the energy in that room was something else.
2. I upgraded my webinar tech stack, ready for Thursday’s masterclass, Get Your Quarter Together. (Free, 12pm AEST. Link in my bio, this is going to be off the chart filled with impact for business owners and it’s FREEEEEEEEE)
3. And so many fab clients had amazing quarters. Watching that happen never gets old.
Wins you notice are wins you repeat.
Now your turn. What’s your win this week?
Share below, you’ll feel great once you do. For yourself but also for the inspiration you can give to others.
Welcome to October.
There’s a lovely “may the O in October stand for...” going around. Here’s my version, for all the opportunities I see for all the fab founders I get to work with everyday 🙏
May October bring you…
Opportunities you create.
Offers you say out loud.
Open doors you walk through.
Outcomes you can count.
Every one of them starts with a decision you make this month.
In The LEAP Room, my group mastermind and community of fab female founders, we’ve just kicked off our quarterly challenge: October is Out Loud & Out About, and it’s all focused on enhancing & uplevelling visibility this month! More in my stories.
Which O are you choosing for October?
Don't put your prices up today.
From today, Australian businesses can no longer pass card surcharges on to customers. Debit, prepaid and credit. The fee does not disappear, it just moves onto your side of the ledger.
The policy is meant to help us as consumers. What it will actually do is push most business owners to find a way to recoup it somewhere else, and the ‘easiest’ somewhere else is your prices.
I have decided not to do that.
Instead, I will absorb it because I don’t want my clients to feel like they got stung in a month where everything else went up. Which I believe is really important right now.
If you are an Australian small business owner, here are 2 numbers worth looking at before you decide anything.
1. What percentage of your clients pay by card, and
2. What was that surcharge actually costing you across a full year?
Most people have never added those numbers up. You need to understand that impact on your bottom line.
And watch out, there is a second one coming too. The ATO stops accepting credit card payments from 20 November, so if that is how you have been managing BAS cash flow, now is the time to sort out plan B.
How are you handling it? Absorb, reward, or raise prices?
September 30th, the quarter is done. What did yours look like?
Have a look. Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with your results?
Almost every conversation I've had this week came back to the same words.
Not enough clients. Not enough hours. Juggling school then sholidays. Money's tight. Mortgage rates are rise. October 1st ban on credit card surcharges that owners can’t pass on to clients anymore.
All real. But none of them are the real reason you're not happy with your results, if you’re being honest with yourself.
Your quarter is the result of the decisions you made and the ones you didn't.
It's the plans you acted on, and the ones that stayed on the list.
A quarter that comes in under what you expected is useful. It makes you stop and look at what needs to change in the next 90 days.
That's the work. Plan properly, make the decisions, then act on them.
On Thursday 8 October, I'm running a free masterclass on exactly this.
Comment QUARTER and I'll send you the details.
Ambition is not a dirty word. Neither is wealth.
This is a tiny sneak peek of my new speaker reel. The full version lands soon along with my new website!
In my Cross the Line keynote, I talk about the invisible lines that hold brilliant women back. Nobody hands them to us in writing. We just learn where they sit, and we stay inside them.
The one I see most in founders is the Ambition Line: shrinking what’s possible before anyone else gets the chance to.
Here’s a quick way to spot yours. Write down the revenue goal you’d set if nobody was watching. Then write down the one you actually set. The gap between those two numbers is your line.
You don’t have to erase it. You just have to decide you’re ready to cross it.
That’s what drawing outside the lines looks like. Being bold enough to design the business, and the life, you actually want. That’s LEAP mode.
Which line are you ready to cross before the year is out? Identity, permission, ambition, voice, visibility or readiness? Tell me in the comments.
And if you’re booking speakers for a 2027 conference, leadership day or women’s event, DM me the word KEYNOTE and you’ll see the full reel first. Let’s chat and lock it in!
