Our Year 5 students had a fantastic day at the Pick of the Crop Kitchen event in Toowoomba!
They practised their cooking skills while helping prepare a shared lunch, learned about self-watering wicking gardens and created two for our school, got hands-on with some sweet science, and shared our Pick of the Crop journey so far.
We left with lots of new learning, full bellies and some goodies to help get our garden project growing! π₯π±π¨βπ³
Maybe even check out the news tonight on Channel 7, you might see a familiar face or 2.

Lots of hands-on learning this week! Our Year 3 scientists explored how heat is measured and created their own thermal images. 5/6 students investigated how the distance of a light source affects the size and shape of shadows. In English, students put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test with an escape room challenge, solving clues to identify persuasive devices.
There's nothing better than seeing our students engaged, collaborating and having fun while they learn! π‘ππ¬π
Thursday 25th June we will celebrate the end of Term 2 with our Winter Warmers fun day. Students (and staff) are invited to wear their pyjamas and winter woollies while we play a range of games and activities. We will also enjoy a delicious lunch or warm finger foods.
