Her story is a reminder that creativity can take many forms, and finding what works for your brain can open unexpected paths. ❤️‍🩹

What do you tend to spend your energy on that is outside your control?

Other people’s opinions. Their choices. The past. Things that happened unexpectedly. The outcome of a situation.

It’s easy to get caught up in things we wish we could change, especially when they affect how we feel. And sometimes, our circumstances genuinely limit the options available to us.

Rather than judging yourself for what you can’t control, take a moment to notice where your attention goes. Are you spending energy on something you can influence, or on something that is entirely outside your reach?

Consider what is within your control, what you can influence, and what deserves acceptance.

What do you tend to focus on unnecessarily? What could you redirect your attention towards?

Mark Manson’s *The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck* takes a different approach. It asks us to look at what we genuinely care about, where we’re putting our attention, and whether the things we worry about deserve so much of our energy.

For creatives, that can be a particularly useful question.

What gives your life meaning?

Viktor Frankl believed that, beneath our search for pleasure and power, there is something deeper: the search for meaning.

For some of us, creativity can be part of that search. Making something, telling a story, expressing an idea, connecting with others, or simply giving ourselves a way to understand the world.

Sometimes, creating something simply because it means something to you is enough, it doesn't have to be profitable, impressive or even shared with anyone else to matter.

What gives your life meaning?
