Parliament House is one of those places in Melbourne that I never get tired of photographing.

I often joke that this is my second home because you’ll probably find me here quite often — camera in hand, walking around, looking for the light, the architecture and those little moments that make each session different.

I’ve photographed so many people here, and somehow, every time I come back, it still feels a little special.

For anyone visiting Melbourne, this is definitely one location I wouldn’t want to miss.

Hidden inside some of Melbourne CBD’s older buildings, these little neon signs are easy to miss if you’re not looking for them.

I love discovering these unexpected details while walking around the city — the old architecture, vintage signs and little corners that give Melbourne its own character.

It’s these little hidden gems that make exploring Melbourne so much fun.

Some places in Melbourne just seem to work beautifully in photographs.

This session with Ms. P at Hamer Hall was one of those moments — Melbourne’s architecture, open spaces and city surroundings coming together naturally in the frame.

I’ve always liked this part of the city. The lines of the buildings, the river, the movement of people and the changing light give you something different to photograph every time.

Hamer Hall is also one of my favourite spots for anyone visiting Melbourne. It feels very Melbourne without needing to try too hard.

For someone travelling into the city, it becomes more than just a photo spot. It becomes part of the memory of being here — walking around, taking in the architecture, and having a few moments captured along the way. 📸

When they first booked me for their engagement photoshoot, little did I know just how much fun I would have with this sweet couple from Hong Kong, who were visiting Melbourne for their holiday. ❤️

Seeing Melbourne in black and white 🖤🤍

Without the colours, you start noticing other things — the light falling between buildings, the texture of the old laneways, shadows on the pavement, the movement of people and the little moments happening around the city.

These images are from a recent couple photoshoot with Beth and Alex, as we wandered through the streets and hidden lanes of Melbourne CBD.

I wanted this series to feel like a little documentary of Melbourne — a monochromatic version of the city that I see and experience through my camera.

Melbourne never really looks the same twice. It changes with the time of day, the light, the weather and the people passing through it.

And sometimes, taking away the colour lets you see the city a little differently.
