Sturgess Racing Team

Heading into Round 4, the Nankang Excel Cup 2026 championship battle is officially heating up. Caleb Paterson is leading the charge with 599 points, but Jesse Dixon (494 pts) and Thomas Manwaring (486 pts) are well within striking distance. With a massive haul of points up for grabs across the two 150km races, the pressure is on the chasing pack to close that 105-point gap to Paterson before the checkered flag falls on Sunday.

Pole position for Zade at Cooloola Coast Kart Club for Auskart Racing Inc. Se Qld Sprint Championship.

On the weekend the Sturgess Racing Team was at Gladstone Kart Club for round 6 of Auskart Racing Inc. Se Qld Sprint Championship.

Things were going to be a bit different this weekend with day and night racing. Also it was double points for the championship.

It was the first time Zade and Carter had been to this track and the both showed good pace straight away in day and nights practice on Friday.
The racing was super close all weekend for both the boys classes with not a lot of passing opportunities on track.

Carter was improving all weekend beating his PB times.
