Scott spotting a Rosén’s Snake on the road 🐍👀
Rosén Snakes are a small, nocturnal species found across parts of WA, often seen on warm nights as they move in search of food. They primarily feed on reptiles like skinks and geckos and are mildly venomous.
A great reminder that an even a quick roadside stop can turn into a. Awesome wildlife encounter 🚗

When a Death Adder sheds (a process called ecdysis), the skin peels off like a sock turning inside out - even the eye caps come off in one piece! 👀
A shed is also often slightly longer than the actual snake because it stretches during the shedding process.
This is a perfect shed - which means it’s a healthy snake 🐍
