We're very proud of our corporate volunteering program, where we connect businesses with local volunteering opportunities. Last year we supported 116 organisations across the state with the helping hands of 4,371 corporate volunteers!
It's a great way for employees to get out of the office for some team-building, and give back to the community at the same time.

A massive THANK YOU to all first responders across Western Australia!
Today is Thank a First Responder Day, an opportunity to celebrate those who support people through emergencies, disasters and accidents.
It is incredible that so many people step up to help others in crisis, many of them volunteers who are giving up their time to lend a hand. To all first responders, thank you for your generosity and all that you do for communities across the state โค๏ธ
We are so grateful, and the impact you make is extraordinary.

Did you know there are 182 Men's Sheds in Western Australia?
Men's Sheds provide a safe environment for men (and women) to work on creative projects, learn new skills, and develop incredible friendships.
As a volunteer, you can help people enjoy the shed safely and support them with activities and repair jobs. Helping another person build their skills is incredibly rewarding, not to mention a great way to form new friendships.
Contact your nearest Men's Shed to volunteer, or visit our website to browse opportunities ๐ https://volunteeringwa.org.au/volunteer/apply-for-volunteering-roles/

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Volunteer Management Activity Project Showcase!
The event was a fantastic opportunity to hear from the eight grant-funded projects who have been breaking down barriers to volunteering in different ways.
It was wonderful to explore whatโs possible when barriers are broken down and communities come together.

When it comes to reconciliation, everyone has a role to play.
Today is the first day of National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June), a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The theme for 2026 is 'All In', a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
Volunteering WA is proud to support reconciliation in Western Australia. Last year we finished developing our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, which you can find on our website here: https://bit.ly/4ul2ElS
