Planning ahead for the long weekend? A Sunday roast is always delicious and The Bassendean Hotel has it available all year round ๐ฅฐ
Featuring chefโs rotating roast with all the trimmings including roasted seasonal veg, roasted potatoes, mashed pea, house-made Yorkshire pudding and gravy for $34. A tasty and filling feed! They had roast beef and roast chooken available when we went. So good!

Motto Motto Japanese has made its way to the west and is now opened at Currambine Central! The new store is light and bright, the team are friendly and welcoming and on our weekend visit we tried:
๐ฅ Pork Gyoza and Vegetable & Chive Gyoza with gyoza sauce
๐ค Crispy Prawn Katsu with fresh lemon and Kewpie mayo
๐ Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with marinated teriyaki chicken, onsen egg, edamame, seaweed, pickles, sesame seeds, rice and premium slaw
๐ Red Tonkotsu Ramen with spicy red sauce, pork broth, fresh noodles, ramen egg and shallots
๐ฆ Marble Soft Serve with matcha and vanilla
I could have eaten a dozen of those crispy prawns, so good. And itโs always yes to a dumpling. I really enjoyed the heat in that ramen too, plus the oodles of noodles! Meant ending with the cooling matcha and vanilla soft serve was just the ticket.
If youโre in the Currambine area, a place to keep in mind.
And if you love a bargain, this Sunday 27 September from 10am, the first 400 guests through the doors can enjoy a Classic Tonkotsu Ramen for just $1.

Tsukaya is going to open for Saturday brunch ๐ฅฐ
We have been quietly working behind the scenes on our new brunch menu and are now excited to share it with you.
Starting this Saturday 26 September (and running only on Saturdays), we will be opening our doors for brunch -
9.30am - 1pm
(last orders 12.30pm)
Please note as it is our soft launch period, we will have limited portions of our menu items available and will operate with limited hours.
Weโre excited to share our new brunch service with you and look forward to welcoming you soon.

Seeing kangaroos while out on the trail. Itโs always awesome ๐ฅฐ And thereโs always plenty in the mornings along the Echidna Trail at Walyunga National Park ๐ฆ We are spoilt with some incredible trails in Western Australia - great place to stretch the legs too! ๐โโ๏ธ

Love that the weather is warming up! Springtime wonderful โ๏ธ and one of my favourite combinations is lovely sweet rockmelon, prosciutto, fresh basil and the always delicious La Delizia Latticini burrata ๐ฅฐ Easy, peasy and so good!
