Crown Me Yours (Book 2, Heartstring Duet) - Liv Zander

This was an audiobook I stumbled on when scrolling through was available to borrow on Libby.

Liv Zander is an author who loves to write dark fantasy romance stories with sexy villains. When she isn't busy writing, she can be found in the office with some coffee or some w**e. She is also obsessed with ravens and skulls.

Kael is dead and Elara now wears the crown.

But Kael did leave her clues on how to cure the rot and rid the land of it. All Elara has to do is marry Vale, sleep with him and then slit his throat.

Yet how is one make to make the embodiment of death fall in love and then sacrifice themself for the good of others...

Vale does his best to avoid Elara, avoid touching her, and all the temptations that come along with it.

With each passing day, Vale's resolve slowly breaks bit by bit.

One thing is for certain Elara has come this far, been through so much and suffered even more. She will be damned if she lets death get in the way of achieving this for herself and for everyone who has been affected by the rot.



"Crown Me Yours" is a dark romantasy story that is as emotionally charged as it is dark. As always with these type of stories please look after your mental health and check the trigger warnings. Now while this story isn't as graphic and gory as the first it is still quite dark delving into the paranormal and death. It was a bit of a long haul getting through Elara's inner turmoil and struggles of trying to get Vale to sleep with her, and we didn't have that spicy love triangle element with Kael any longer. Yet I still found this story to be engaging and emotional reading Elara and Vale going through all the struggles they did. All in all, this series was a beautifully dark and poetic series.

Absolutely obsessed with this show, Taylor Sheridan is a genius.
