A lot can change in a business over a few years.
Teams grow, services evolve, revenue shifts and day-to-day operations can end up looking very different to when your business insurance was first set up. But insurance is one of those things that often gets renewed automatically and left sitting in the background.
The challenge is that gaps in cover usually aren’t obvious until there’s a reason to rely on the policy.
If it’s been a while since you last reviewed your cover, this may be a good place to start.

There’s a point in business where growth stops feeling exciting and starts feeling heavy.
More clients and more opportunities should feel like progress, but somehow the days become filled with emails, follow-ups, scheduling, admin and constantly trying to keep everything moving. And before long, it feels like there’s no space left to actually focus on growing the business.
Our blog explores how operational pressure tends to build over time and how the right support may help create more breathing room, clearer structure and more capacity to focus on the work that matters most.
If this feels familiar, it may be time to look at where support could make a difference.

Trust distribution decisions are one of those EOFY tasks that can quietly creep up. But unlike some year-end items, this generally can’t just be revisited after 30 June. Once the financial year closes, the flexibility to influence the outcome may already be limited.
If trust distributions are still sitting on the to-do list, now may be a good time to start reviewing your position before EOFY pressure builds further.

From 1 July 2026, accounting firms will need to meet new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) obligations when providing certain professional services.
For Carbon clients, this means there may be some additional steps when you engage us for services such as entity setup, restructures, business transactions, financing support, client money management, nominee roles, registered office services, or real estate transaction support.
These changes form part of Australia’s expanded AML/CTF framework, which aims to reduce the risk of money laundering, terrorism financing, and other financial crime.
As part of our legal obligations, Carbon may need to verify your identity and request further information before providing certain services. We will guide affected clients through the process and clearly explain what information is needed, when it is needed, and why it is required.
For more information, visit AUSTRAC : https://ap1.hubs.ly/y0Zbdc0 for guidance on identity verification.

Ever caught yourself saying, “we’ll sort the trust distribution closer to 30 June”?
You’re not alone.
Trust distributions can’t simply be revisited after EOFY. Leaving decisions too late may reduce flexibility, create pressure and limit your ability to influence the outcome.
We explore why timing matters, the risks of delaying trust distribution resolutions and how a more proactive approach may help create greater clarity before 30 June.
