Meraki Boho

A striking new mural is transforming a local water tank in Sawyers Valley, turning essential infrastructure into a vibrant public artwork that celebrates the area's unique history, natural environment and community identity.

Created by local Perth Hills artist Tayla Beynon of Meraki Boho, the mural was commissioned following a vision from the Sawyers Valley Residents & Ratepayers Association Inc to create a landmark artwork that reflects what makes the town special.

The design features an ANZAC tribute alongside native flora and fauna, as well as a historical scene.

That’s a wrap 👏 touch ups and the official sign off went on today for the sawyers tank mural. Huge thank you to Sawyers valley Ratepayer Association. (Especially Jen and Paul), Community Bank Mundaring and Shire of Mundaring

Amazing work by Tay, whose talent and creativity have transformed the Sawyer's Valley Oval water tank into a stunning community landmark.

Featuring local flora and fauna and a special ANZAC tribute, the artwork celebrates the natural beauty, history and community spirit that make our town unique.

The memorial element honours local families whose loved ones are remembered on the WWI and WWII Honour Boards in our Hall, ensuring their stories and sacrifices continue to be recognised for generations to come.

We're proud to support this meaningful project and can't wait to see the finished result.

Little update on the Sawyers tank 🎨 Redtail and banksias completed. We are on the home stretch. Just the ANZAC tribute left ❤️

Progresss piccccc. 🤯 sometimes I shock myself! I was not looking forward to painting the horse and man 😂 and it absolutely took an absurd amount of time but I’m so chuffed with how it came out! Still have the cart and tree log to finish but I’m feeling good that the hardest part is out of the way 😂😂😂
