We’re giving the restaurant a little refresh, with new carpet being installed throughout the dining area.

That means we’ll be closed for the day on Monday 19th October, before reopening from Tuesday 20th October as usual.

A fresh look underfoot, just in time for the warmer months ☀️

The hardest part of our $59 lunch special might be choosing the main.

Go rich with BMS 5 Wagyu sirloin, served with triple-cooked taro fondant, fried cavolo nero and chimichurri.

Keep it lighter with Shark Bay whiting, paired with blood orange, fennel and pomegranate salad, finished with saffron beurre blanc.

Or choose Wagin duck leg with broad bean and pea ragù, rhubarb gastrique and mulberries.

Three very different ways to do lunch, but all part of our two-course $59 menu. Available Thursday and Friday from 11am, only until 30th October.

From Monday to Wednesday evenings, Chef’s Selection is an invitation to experience the menu through the eyes of our kitchen.

The table begins with our sourdough bread before moving through a changing selection of shared entrées, mains with sides and dessert, all chosen by our Head Chef for the evening.

The pleasure is in leaving the decisions to us, with each dish selected to create a balanced progression from the first course through to dessert.

The Southern Terrace is now open! 🥂

One of our favourite places to lunch at Matilda Bay is back, open Thursday to Sunday for food, drinks and uninterrupted Swan River views.

Come down for an intimate date night, a glass of w**e in the afternoon, or book in for our $59 two-course Lunch Special, available Thursday and Friday from 11am.

Set right on the water, the Southern Terrace is made for taking lunch outside and staying a little longer.

Bookings are available online, or walk in and join us on the day.

A quick note for the long weekend!

We’ll be closed tomorrow for the King’s Birthday public holiday, with the team back in action from Tuesday.

Then from Thursday, there’s plenty happening at the Bay. Our $59 two-course Lunch Special is available Thursday and Friday from 11am. Plus our Southern Terrace reopens for spring, with lunch and drinks by the river from Thursday to Sunday.

From 24th September, our $59 two-course Lunch Special is here every Thursday and Friday, with a new seasonal menu built around the best of spring.

Start with Skull Island tiger prawns with mango, grapefruit and chamoy, then move into BMS 5 Wagyu with triple-cooked taro fondant and chimichurri, with plenty more to discover across the menu.

Available Thursday and Friday from 11am, but only until 30th October.

On Thursday 8th October, Deep Woods Estate Chief W**emaker Julian Langworthy will host the Deep Woods Estate Annual Reserve Dinner at Matilda Bay Restaurant, celebrating the release of the new Reserve w**es.

Deep Woods Estate continues to cement its place among Australia’s leading w**e producers. The 2023 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded Best in Show and 97 Points at the 2026 Decanter World W**e Awards – the only single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon in the world to receive Best in Show at this year’s awards. It is the second time in five years the Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has received this honour.

The evening will begin with canapés and Ch*****ne Barons de Rothschild overlooking the Swan River at sunset, celebrating Fogarty Hall Fine W**e Estates’ special relationship as the Ch*****ne house’s exclusive Australian distributor, before a curated dinner showcasing Western Australian produce and w**es personally selected by Julian from the Deep Woods Estate portfolio and cellar.

Guests will be among the first to experience the new Reserve releases ahead of their wider release.
