If you love animals - widen your circle of compassion to include farmed animals. In reality, farmed animals are just like the companion animals we love.
As a society we have been conditioned to believe that farmed animals don't have feelings and exist purely for our food choices. They love to play, they have unique personalities, they crave affection and attention. They yearn to carry out their natural instincts to raise their young, forage for food, interact with others of their kind. We invite you to open your heart and see farmed animals differently. As more than just food. As sentient beings who want to live. Contrary to much of the nutritional advice we are given since childhood you can live a happy, healthy, wonderful life without consuming animal products, including meat and dairy. The internet is brimming with information about a vegan lifestyle. Veganism is NOT as difficult, nor as extreme as you might think. Vegans have widened their circle of compassion beyond the animals society tells us to care for (cats, dogs and horses) to include all animals. Instagram @perthpigsave

Using the latest in 360 camera technology, we're showing you the secrets of an industry that no members of the public are supposed to see.
This morning, we released a groundbreaking virtual tour of a major Victorian piggery, where viewers are able to see inside the sow housing and breeding sheds.
Using a computer, mobile device or VR headset, you can explore at your own pace, looking around in all directions and clicking the arrows to move throughout each shed.
Photos and footage are embedded into the tour, including videos featuring executive director of Farm Transparency Project, Chris Delforce, giving a guided tour of the facility, and videos showing standard practices in Victorian piggeries.
This tour is our latest way of increasing public awareness of modern pig farming practices, and encouraging members of the public to make a submission to the ongoing Victorian parliamentary inquiry into pig welfare.
