R U Ok? Day is a reminder to check in with the people around us. Farming can be tough, and sometimes a simple conversation with a fellow grower, neighbour or mate can make a real difference.

Out and about with industry
As part of the vegetablesWA Gingin Roadshow, David Daniels from AUSVEG and Dr Henry Tan from the WA Department of Health joined us for a series of farm visits, creating a great opportunity for practical conversations with growers about some of the issues affecting vegetable businesses.

During the farm visits, discussions covered a broad range of topics including soil health, industry project activities and useful business tools, as well as food safety and compliance requirements, grower registration and the role of local government. Conversations also explored chemical availability, storage and use, alongside greenhouse production and current pest and disease pressures facing growers.

A valuable day of conversations, bringing growers, industry and government together on-farm to discuss the practical challenges and opportunities facing WA vegetable businesses.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the VegetablesWA Gingin Roadshow last week a huge success!

A special thank you to our speakers for sharing their expertise, particularly those who travelled from the Eastern States to be with us. Your support of Western Australia's vegetable industry is greatly appreciated.

Finally, thank you to all those who attended, engaged in discussions, and contributed to a great day of learning and networking at the Gingin Sports Centre.

We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing the conversation throughout the season.
