Strengthening Community Ties: NRNA WA Meets with Mr. Ron Sao MLA

NRNA Western Australia was pleased to meet with Mr. Ron Sao MLA on Friday, 28 August 2026, for a constructive discussion on matters vital to our community.

During the meeting, we discussed the recent tragic disaster in Nepal, the humanitarian impact on affected communities, and the ongoing relief efforts being mobilised by the Nepali diaspora. We also provided an update on the upcoming Nepal Festival Perth 2026, highlighting its role in celebrating Nepali culture and strengthening multicultural connections within Western Australia.

A highlight of the meeting was the formal handover of the Lotterywest funding support for Nepal Festival Perth 2026. We sincerely thank Mr. Sao for his continued advocacy; this contribution is essential in helping us deliver a successful, inclusive, and vibrant festival.

The discussion also covered broader community matters and future collaborations. Mr. Sao encouraged community members within his constituency to reach out to his office regarding local issues or concerns.

We thank Mr. Ron Sao MLA for his time, support, and ongoing engagement with the Nepali community. We look forward to a continued strong partnership.
