Space! The final frontier! I know, nerdy. I loved this lego build some of our participants made. Last term learning about space we build lego, painted a collaborative mural, made a planet display, and more!

Our snow peas have sprouted, all the work that went into planning the garden has paid off! Writing isn't the only way to learn a new concept or create a plan.

Look at our garden grow. Learning social and emotional skills, whilst also participating in educational, hands-on activities supports growth 🪴 that kids can generalise! Life doesn't occur in a therapists office, so learning life skills doesn't need to either. We are growing sunflowers, beans and snow peas.

Check out our awesome teacher David, working with young people on Chemistry using a Tiny Science Lab kit. David is a pre-service teacher who completed an internship with us to learn more about how to support Neurodiverse students, and stayed on long after. He loves building meaningful relationships and learning what each person values.

I love this outdoor space! It's such a calming space to sit and play. We call it the fairy garden. One of the things we like to remind people of is that regulation is so personal. I like sitting in this quiet space, but some of our children need jump and run. That's why there are lots of different options, and time between activities for breaks that suit each child.

Another photo of my travels to Washington DC to the National Museum of Natural History representing University and QUADRA Program, this time and they had my favourite thing! An insect display! I was so lucky to support a young person in their travels here, and share a love of all things science with them.

Creativity at QUADRA is integrated into everything we do. Our participants love their 3D-Printing Appointments each week and have designed some amazing things! We have 3D printing opportunities multiple times per week, and the projects have supported our kids in their regulation and relationship building skills too.

I was so privileged to travel to Washington DC, USA this year to co-present with some of my inspirational colleagues from Curtin University about our research on Mentoring for Neurodiverse and/or Gifted Students. This project is close to my heart for a number of reasons. I was so excited to check out the National Museum of Air and Space!
