Today I hosted members of Survivors of Child Abuse (SOCA) at Parliament House to discuss a plan to stop the Christian Brothers from avoiding compensation claims by faking bankruptcy. The Christian Brothers have applied to the courts to stop all compensation payments claiming they have run out of funds. When in fact they have been transferring assets to different legal entities to build a legal wall against victims. This tactic is clearly immoral and survivors are calling on the Catholic Church to step in and ensure victims get the compensation they deserve. Full story in the comments. SOCA
