Our Bandicoots have been unpacking “What can we discover with our senses?”
Last week the children were able to explore some beautiful natural resources Miss Sarah gathered from our local Karawatha Forest including sticks, pine cones, bark, pine nuts and they used magnifying glasses to explore the different textures, sizes and smells.
Our Bandicoots then took advantage of the beautiful sunshine that came out at the end of last week and had an outdoor classroom. Walking around our beautiful environment with their clipboards drawing their interpretation on what they can see with their eyes👀🍃🌱

Today was World Bee Day🐝
Some of our Junior Kindy Koalas wanted to take some flowers to our Native Bee Hive so that the bees didn’t have to work so hard for their honey.
While we gave them their offering we sat down and watched how busy they are coming and going from their “cubby house” and that they would need a good nap after being so busy all day.

This week Una Springwood has a full-page featured article in the Local My City Logan Newspaper. This week's addition is all about Celebrating National Families Week, which we take great pride in here at Una Springwood.
National family's week is all about recognising the role families and carers play in our lives and communities. Family can be the people we're born into, the people we care for, and the communities that we build around us.
Who are you grateful for this Families Week? Leave a comment to tell us💬
If you would like a copy of the Newspaper they are located on the table near the front door.

We love hearing from our families! 💕
At Una Springwood, our biggest reward is knowing that the children in our care feel safe, happy and excited to learn each day 💚
Lately, we’ve been overwhelmed with the beautiful feedback and reviews from our families sharing kind words about our nurturing educators, our strong sense of community and the meaningful learning experiences happening across our centre 🌿
From our engaging nature play-based programs to our focus on connection, wellbeing and belonging, it means the world to know our families see and value what we do every day.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of our Una Community💚
If you’ve had a great experience with us, we’d love for you to share your feedback your words help other families find a place where their children can truly thrive 💫
Or want to see it for yourself? Book a tour and come experience the magic of Una Springwood!

At Una the children are invited to slow down and embrace child led learning. This week an invitation of oranges, limes and real life tools was well received as the children investigated, squeezed, twisted, poured and tasted. Feeling the resistance as they squeezed, noticing the scent and liquids released as they twisted, and bravely tasting the tangy juice.
Using real tools gave a sense of purpose and trust, encouraging persistence, coordination, and independence. Moments like these support children to connect with their senses, build confidence in their capabilities, and make meaning through rich, hands-on exploration.
