In a recent check-in with one of our customers, they shared some encouraging results.

Prior to implementation of GPS Tracking, they were recording up to 10 speeding infringements in a single month. Since rolling out the system, they’ve now gone more than 12 months with none reported.

The number of speeding events being captured after installation was quite alarming for the customer as they had no idea how big the problem actually was. While every operation is different, it’s a strong example of how improved visibility and accountability can help shift driving behaviour over time.

It’s common for businesses to start using a platform for one specific purpose, then slowly realise it can support much more of their day-to-day operations.

What begins as a tool for one workflow often expands into areas like claims management (FTC), maintenance tracking and reminders, and even driver records and licence expiry monitoring.

The real value often comes from connecting these pieces together, rather than treating them in isolation.

Big changes are coming in the telematics space.

With the NHVR moving from IAP to TMA on 1 July, operators will see a shift in how compliance and monitoring are managed going forward.

While the terminology is changing, the goal remains the same—making it easier and more effective to meet heavy vehicle compliance requirements.
