As the APLE project is finalized we look back on a shared process of learning, testing, exchanging, and building new bridges between architectural education, professional practice, and research.
Through studios, workshops, Pop-up Labs, Core Labs, and Virtual Labs, APLE has opened a space where teaching becomes a form of inquiry, practice becomes a field of knowledge, and research becomes a collective tool for future transformation.
This journey was shaped by collaboration — between colleagues, students, universities, professionals, institutions, and communities — all contributing to a more responsive and practice-oriented model of architectural education.
The finalization of the project is therefore not an end, but a threshold: a moment to consolidate what has been achieved, to recognize the strength of our partnerships, and to continue developing new formats of exchange, mentorship, experimentation, and public engagement.
Thank you to all colleagues, partners, students, and collaborators who contributed to APLE’s implementation and to the shared belief that architecture education must remain open, critical, situated, and connected to the realities it seeks to transform.
The work continues.

Teaching Practices, Practicing Architecture
Day 2
The second day of APLE26 Conference focused on strengthening connections between academia and professional practice. Stakeholder presentations from Archipraxis partners provided insights into real-sector experiences, perspectives, and opportunities for future collaboration. This was followed by a panel discussion with students, professors, and employers addressing key challenges and potentials in bridging education and practice. The conference concluded with the final consortium meeting, summarizing outcomes and outlining future directions, before closing with an informal evening gathering that continued the exchange in a more relaxed setting.
