Pomažemo ljudima da zauvijek ostave cigarete i ostale nikotinske proizvode, a organizacijama da grade zdravije i produktivnije timove.

Interaktivni programi i radionice.

Workplace smoking cessation starts with leadership.

Leaders need to lead, not leave smokers and non-smokers to figure it out among themselves.

I regularly hear frustration from both sides.

🚬 Smokers tell me they feel judged by colleagues and are constantly questioned about taking smoko breaks. Many also say they feel unsupported when trying to quit.

🚭 Non-smokers are frustrated that some colleagues use ni****ne products such as heated to***co products (HTPs), vapes or e-cigarettes, leaving lingering odours in shared workspaces.

They also question why some employees take multiple smoking breaks throughout the day while others continue working without equivalent break time.

Neither group is happy.

This is a leadership issue, not an employee issue.

Here are five practical things managers and leaders can do:

🟢 Don't assume

Don't assume people know what's expected. Clear expectations prevent misunderstandings.

🟢 Set clear workplace expectations

Have a clear policy on smoking and the use of all ni****ne products, including HTPs and vapes in and around the workplace.

🟢 Create fair break arrangements

If smoking breaks are permitted, ensure everyone has equal access to break time.

🟢 Communicate clearly and consistently

Use staff meetings, onboarding, team e-mails, newsletters, intranet, noticeboards, digital displays, workplace policies and regular team updates to reinforce expectations.

🟢 Offer smoking cessation support

Provide employees with access to evidence-based smoking cessation support and education.

Clear expectations and meaningful support reduce conflict, improve fairness and build trust.

P.S. How does your workplace approach smoking breaks and ni****ne use?

I'd love to hear what has worked and what hasn't.
