Born in July 2010, twins Ava Marie and Leah Rose Clements entered the world four and a half weeks ahead of schedule. As the girls grew older, their mother, Jaqi, began to realize that their early arrival perfectly matched their personalities.

Looking back, she said, “They arrived four and a half weeks early, but knowing their personalities now, it makes total sense for them to show up early, unannounced, and ready to face anything.”

According to Pentagon updates, the number of US troops wounded in the war with Iran has risen to 767.

Police shot and killed a distressed man on the Brooklyn Bridge early Friday after he lunged at an officer with a knife, bringing an end to an hour-long standoff during which the man claimed he had a bomb and repeatedly said he wanted to die.

According to NYPD Emergency Response Unit Chief Gerard V. Dowling, officers spotted the knife-wielding man walking along the bridge cables at around 3:30 a.m. Police officers then climbed onto the bridge structure and attempted to persuade him to come down safely.

During the standoff, the man reportedly told officers, “I want to die, I want you to kill me,” and claimed he had a bomb. He also warned officers that he did not want to be forced into doing something harmful to police.

The confrontation ultimately escalated when the man lunged at an officer with the knife, prompting police to open fire.
