We are located at 14889 Yonge Street in Aurora, ON! This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT, HOSTED INDOORS! We will only cancel in the event of a snowstorm!

🐾 MEET SUKI — A GENTLE LITTLE LOVEBUG READY TO MELT YOUR HEART 🐾

Suki is an adorable ~4-month-old Lab mix with the softest baby brown eyes and so much love to give! This gentle girl takes a beat to observe her surroundings before opening up, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet, affectionate personality shines. Before you know it, she’ll be melting into your loving arms—and you’ll be melting right along with her! 🤎

Suki arrived in our care a few weeks ago with her sister Ivy, and both girls are thriving! Every day brings new discoveries, growing confidence, and more glimpses of the wonderful companions they are becoming.

For such a young puppy, Suki is wonderfully calm and measured. She likes to take in the world around her and is happy to explore new experiences and adventures with gentle encouragement and a reassuring human by her side.

She is social with dogs of all sizes, enjoys humans big and small, and loves cats too! A little time to settle in allows her loving nature to blossom. 🐶🐱

🐾 Training & Puppy Progress 🐾

Suki is new to leash skills, but once she builds some momentum, she’s happy to trot along by your side! With patient guidance, positive reinforcement, and opportunities to explore at her own pace, she’ll continue growing in confidence.

She does great for any type of handling, and is also an incredible passenger princess for car rides! 👸

She is also crate trained and does incredibly well settling into her crate for feedings, naps, and overnight sleepy time! 💤

She’s still just a baby who needs a family to nurture her and teach her all the things that will make her the goodest girl in the world—and trust us, she’s WELL on her way there already! 🌟

Skye is a beautiful ~5-month-old Kokoni mix with an old soul, a gentle heart and an extraordinary ability to make everyone she meets fall completely in love with her. 💜

Skye’s story began when she and her littermates were found dumped in a cardboard box at just a few weeks old. Thankfully, a compassionate local animal lover brought them to the nearest shelter, where they could receive medical care and a safe place to stay. Skye spent the first few months of her life sharing a kennel with several of her siblings and a few adult dogs—and that experience helped shape her into the wonderfully social, intuitive puppy she is today.

Since joining our rescue just over a month ago, Skye has been instantly accepted by every dog she has met, big or small. She seems to instinctively understand how to adjust her approach depending on each dog’s personality, giving playful friends the energy they’re looking for while respectfully giving quieter dogs their space.

Her love isn’t reserved for dogs, either—Skye adores every person she meets! Adults, children and everyone in between are immediately greeted with her gentle affection and sweet, loving nature. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this little angel. She is what we lovingly call a lottery dog! ✨

🐾 Life with Skye:
Skye is playful and ready for adventure whenever you have time for exercise and attention, but she is equally happy to settle down for a cuddle while her people work or relax at home. Her incredible ability to “read the room” allows her to mirror the energy around her beautifully. She is intuitive, adaptable and remarkably smart—especially for such a young puppy!

She is already well on her way to becoming fully house-trained and has also mastered using p*e pads indoors. Her crate training is also going wonderfully: she settles after a minor puppy protest, and is comfortable eating, sleeping and enjoying quiet time in her crate.

Skye’s leash manners are excellent, and she happily heads out for a walk whenever the opportunity arises! 🐕‍🦺

🏡 Skye’s Perfect Home:
One of the most special things about Skye is how easily she could fit into almost any loving household. She would be equally comfortable living in a condo, apartment or house and could thrive with a family, couple or individual. She would also make an INCREDIBLE match for first-time dog owners! Whether her future home is active and adventurous or calm and cozy, Skye will happily match the rhythm of her people.

Skye currently weighs approximately 13 lbs and is expected to be around 25-30lb when fully grown. Although she may look like a tiny German Shepherd, her breed mix and growth so far suggest that she will remain a small-to-medium-sized dog.

Are you flying direct from Athens (ATH) to Toronto (YYZ) via Air Transat or Air Canada this year? You can help rescue dogs and cats reach their forever homes—at no cost to you!

The process is simple. Here is how it works:
✔️ We book the pets on your flight.
✔️ Volunteers meet you at Athens airport for check-in.
✔️ Volunteers meet you at Toronto airport to pick them up when you land in Toronto.

The dogs and cats are fully vetted, and we handle all logistics! All you have to do is enjoy your flight and help give an animal a second chance at life.

Fiyero is discovering life in Canada, and every day we see more of the affectionate, devoted companion he is becoming. There is a world of potential behind those sweet eyes—all he needs is someone willing to help him discover it!

Fiyero is a “Velcro dog” in the making. He takes time to build trust, but once you’ve earned it, you become his favourite person. His love is tender, loyal, and wholehearted, and he finds so much comfort in being close to the people he knows. 💕

💜 Life with Fiyero 💜

Fiyero is a gentle, medium-energy pup who loves the simple pleasures: a cozy spot beside you on the couch, following you around the house, and being included in your day. He enjoys little bursts of toy time, but being with his people is his favourite activity!

He looks to his trusted humans for reassurance when something feels unfamiliar. With a patient person by his side, he is learning that new experiences can be safe and rewarding.

Fiyero is crate trained, potty trained, and knows some basic commands. He’s also a clever, highly food-motivated boy who enjoys learning—he picked up “sit” in just half a day! His enthusiasm for treats creates wonderful opportunities to build skills and confidence together. 🐾

At just 1.5 years old, Fiyero still has some puppy-like tendencies! When excited, he may jump up, nibble or “cob” with his front teeth, and mouth during interactions. He’s still learning how to express his enthusiasm politely and will benefit from consistent, gentle redirection and rewards for calm greetings.

Fiyero can also be a little sensitive around his collar and with some handling. His family will need to help him become comfortable with touch through brief, gentle interactions at his pace, rewarding small successes and respecting when he needs a pause. These positive experiences can help build his comfort with everyday handling while creating meaningful moments of trust and connection with his humans. 💛

Another area of growth is becoming comfortable on walks and around everyday sounds. Loud vehicles, the espresso machine, garage doors, and even the television can feel unfamiliar and startling. Busy, high-traffic environments can be overwhelming, so he benefits from quieter surroundings and gradual introductions at a pace he can manage.

With gentle exposure, consistency, and reassurance, Fiyero has already shown that he can grow more comfortable. Each small success helps reveal the capable, trusting boy beneath his uncertainty.

💜 What Makes Fiyero So Special 💜

Fiyero really does have the heart of a sweet little prince. When he sees his trusted humans, his happiness shines through in affectionate greetings and an eagerness to be close. 🥹

He has also been successfully participating in home visits with other dogs, giving us an encouraging glimpse of how he can blossom in a home environment.

DOMINO IS ADOPTED! ✅

Back in July 2026, DOMINO met his forever family after spending almost a year in our care and a couple months in a beautiful foster home.

We saved Domino from shelter in Greece back in September 2025. Domino was always a gentle giant, but he was a very shy pup who was highly nervous of new people and experiences. We learned through getting to know him that Domino loved being immersed with dogs, and he started to trust us most when other dogs were around. To build his confidence — we had Domino enter the care of our reliable fosters, Rita and David. Here, he lived harmoniously with their pack — trusting them even faster as a result of following their pack at home. We knew that Domino’s forever home was ideally a multi dog household — AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HE FOUND!

Enter the Volkmann family, who have rescued pups many times before. Initially, they came to meet another dog — but we recognized that their home profile was PERFECT for Domino and could not miss this opportunity to MATCHMAKE! Thankfully, the family agreed to pivot, and Domino went home! Thanks to their current dogs— Domino started building confidence to trust them. As time went on, they knew he HAD to stay as a member of the family and was officially ADOPTED! 🎊

Today, Domino is growing more confident every day thanks to his loving family! We were so thrilled that he found this perfect match and is set up for success in the way we hoped for!
