Senior pets will always hold a piece of my heart

There is something deeply magical about photographing older pets. Their frosted muzzle, the gentle slow pace, their eyes that hold a lifetime of loyalty and quiet understanding

These portraits aren't just photos. They are love letters to the companions who have given us their whole hearts.

Senior sessions are all about slowing down, going their pace, letting them rest, sniff, and just be - they've earned it

This sweet boy crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after our session but I am so honoured I could be there to capture some of these final memories for him and his entire family

I did this challenge while out East visiting my family and it was so special to be able to include my parents dog Sheba and my sister for this one

This is definitely one theme I am going to keep in my back pocket for all my sunset shoots going forward

While the main stages were packed with action, I spent my weekend wandering the crowds looking for the quiet, candid moments between the lines. The nervous excitement of a puppy’s first big outing, the proud stance of a senior dog, and the chaotic joy of making a new best friend
