A New Chapter for Summer of FUN Raising!!!

Over the past three years, Summer of FUN Raising has become more than a fundraiser. It has become a celebration of community, compassion, and the belief that when we support one another, we all rise.

Year One celebrated Lillian Miller Bus Lines Inc., recognizing 30 years of incorporation and 45 years of service while honouring Glenn Lickers, whose life inspired our grandmother, Lillian Miller, to build a business dedicated to serving our community.

Year Two honoured Cameron Noble-Montour, raising funds to support alternative healing modalities and ceremony as he courageously navigated his journey with ALS. Cameron's strength and spirit continue to inspire the heart behind this event.

Year Three honoured Brenden Hill, supporting his dream of becoming an actor by helping him begin a new chapter in Vancouver, British Columbia, as he attends the Vancouver Film School.

As AWAKENS continues to grow, so does the vision behind everything we do.

To simplify things and keep our community connected in one place, this page will be closing. Future updates, events, photos, nominations, and conversations will now take place in the AWAKENS Group.

Summer of FUN Raising isn't ending—it is becoming one of AWAKENS' Signature Initiatives. By bringing everything together, I can spend less time managing multiple pages and more time creating meaningful programs, collaborations, and opportunities that strengthen our community.

For the past four years, AWAKENS has partnered with Moonwater Creatives to create something much more than a paddle on the water.

Together, we offer a safe and sacred space to pause, breathe, and gently set down the weight we unknowingly carry—the burdens we absorb while holding space for others, the expectations we place on ourselves, and the constant demands of everyday life.

Under the guidance of Grandmother Moon, we take a moment to offer our gratitude for her steady presence and remember that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

Then we paddle.

As we move across the water, the journey becomes its own teaching. We paddle upstream toward a destination, only to turn around and discover that when we move with the current instead of against it, we often arrive back where we began—but with a completely different understanding of ourselves.

Along the way, conversations unfold naturally. Connections are made. Perspectives shift. We leave carrying a little less and understanding a little more.

Join us for a mesmerizing Full Moon Meditation and Paddle experience brought to you by Moon water Creative, JLM Awakens and Six Nations Tourism. Immerse yourself in the mystical energy of the full moon as we guide you through an evening filled with serenity, spirituality, and connection to nature.

Each participant will take home your own moon water.

Important Notes:
Participants must have paddling experience.
Experienced paddlers can choose between a kayak, canoe. Vessels, paddles, safety kits, headlamps, and PFDs will be provided.
· Payment is required in full at time of reservation. If you don’t show up or don’t cancel your reservation within 24 hours, you forfeit your payment.

The transition from JLM Professional Outsource to AWAKENS wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

For a long time, I struggled to explain what I truly do because it never seemed to fit neatly into one profession or one title.

I didn't know how everything would come together until June 2026, when I was unexpectedly forced to retire my old vision to make room for the new. Looking back, it wasn't an ending at all—it was an invitation to step more fully into the work I have been building all along.

AWAKENS is the coaching model I created to integrate Spirit-Informed Justice with legal navigation, wellness, and personal development.

Over the years, my understanding of justice has transformed.

To me, justice is no longer simply about laws, courts, or outcomes.

Justice is the art of holding space for another human being until they regain their balance after adversity.

Whether someone is navigating family court, criminal proceedings, child protection, grief, trauma, addiction, identity, or a major life transition, every journey begins by creating a space where they feel seen, heard, and safe enough to tell the truth.

Using the tools I've gathered throughout my own healing journey—including legal advocacy, life and wellness coaching, traditional teachings, land-based practices, restorative approaches, and spirit-informed reflection—I offer a grounded space where people can reconnect with themselves.

My role is not to tell someone who they should become.

My role is to walk beside them while they rediscover who they have always been.

This is the vision of AWAKENS.

This is the work I was always meant to do.

And this is only the beginning.
