🐾 CKC Obedience Workshop — August 29

Want to build stronger, clearer, more reliable obedience with your dog?

Join us for a 3-hour CKC Obedience Workshop focused on developing the foundations that make obedience successful — both in training and in the ring.

🧠 First Hour — The 4 Concepts Behind Good Obedience

We’ll explore four essential concepts I use when training and preparing dogs:

Engagement • Clarity • Proofing • Reliability

Understanding these concepts helps us create dogs who understand the job, want to work, and can perform reliably in different environments and situations.

🐕 The remaining 2 hours — Putting it into practice

We’ll work on common obedience challenges, including:

• Heeling & focus
• Recalls & stays
• Proofing around distractions
• Handler mechanics
• Building precision and reliability

Expect demonstrations, practical exercises, troubleshooting, and individual work.

Whether you're training for competition or simply want better, more reliable obedience with your dog, this workshop will give you practical tools and a deeper understanding of the training process.

📅 August 29 | 3-hour workshop

Understand the training. Build the skill. Strengthen the relationship.

A big congratulations to Cheyenne and Ex on their IGP 1! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud of this team and the work they’ve put in to reach this milestone. Behind every title are hours of training, setbacks, breakthroughs, and the determination to keep showing up.

Watching Cheyenne and Ex develop into the team they are today has been a pleasure, and this achievement is well deserved. Congratulations on a fantastic trial and a well-earned IGP 1!

Here’s to the next chapter! 🏆🐾

Next up is:

Anna-Marie and R***r 🌟

It was such a pleasure watching these two perform out on the field. You two looked like such a great team out there, and it was wonderful seeing all of your hard work come together. We’re so excited to watch your journey continue and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Congratulations on your BH! 🎉

It was a big weekend for the Expat Obedience students…

First up: Kylie and Flicka! ✨

This team stepped outside their comfort zone and onto the trial field for the very first time — and that alone is a huge achievement. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there, trust your training, and take that leap.

We’re so proud of you both, and congratulations on achieving your BH! ❤️
