Introducing a bottle to a breastfed baby can be super tricky!
We know how stressful it can be especially when you are on a time frame for something like going back to work.
It may seem counterintuitive but, try introducing the bottle when baby is happy and full.
Learning to drink from a bottle is a new skill. And it's hard to learn new skills when we're hungry or upset!
Keep things as light and stress free as possible. Keep practicing. It can take some time.
Do you know we have a special interest in bottle feeding?
If you're having trouble and need individualized support, book your consult today. We'd love to help.

Free is always a plus!
Doing a short session of hand expression after you pump will further stimulate your milk production🍼
Should we do a post on how exactly to do hand expression? Let us know!
If you need feeding support (including bottle feeding!) be sure to reach out for a consultation.
We'd love to help you.

🚨A tongue tie diagnosis is a FUNCTIONAL one.
This means the person assessing your baby should perform a full, comprehensive evaluation—not just a quick look under the tongue.
If you're having difficulties and suspect a tongue tie, and your provider just takes a quick look and says, "Nope, they're not tied!" or "It's just a slight tie," get another opinion from someone with advanced education and experience in tongue ties.
👉P.S. We DO have extra education and experience in helping families navigate ties. Reach out if you need help!
