We have another husky, Zander is older, 4 years tied to a tree in severe heat. 6 years old now, just spent nearly 2 years in a shelter dungeon, now he's being boarded but its costly and the money could go to saving another.
He's a sweetheart so we hope to find him a home soon. If like to foster let us know, he is flying in with his rescuer soon! She is sponsoring his boarding, rescue and flight. Please apply if interested:

Thank you everyone inquiring about the pregnant husky, we have another, already neutered and vetted needing foster and adopter. His mange is now under control and so happy when with someone.ππ₯°
His name is blu. Please apply to foster or adopt, he's a year old and sweet as can be. Well socialized! Living in a small dirt run and doesn't get out much...
One of our team members who runs Hope Beyond Borders visited Tijuana from BC 5 months ago and staying for two weeks helping Maria.
She took Blu and others out for pack walks and a friend pitched in and paid for badly needed eyelid surgery.
There are no city animal shelters that help these street dogs. None. It's all volunteers in hot mucky climate with little money or funds.

UPDATE: She has now been placed. we received interest, but the foster applications were not sent in. Please send in so we have in advance if you would, that would be so helpful!
We received a message from one out of rescue friends in Saskatchewan asking about help with a pregnant sad lonely husky. We were in luck and arrangements for the mother to Calgary has already been made since a driver was going next week and our contact is going over to pick her up.
In meantime, looking for foster in Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore, Banff or BC, we can arrange transport.
She is a loving young husky and we can care for her till she has her puppies and then transport to foster care, or transfer her before birth. We counsel people how to raise newborns. Our group has raised many dozens of litters and can show you how to give them the best start in life.π
It's not hard, just need compassion, love, and dedication. It's a rewarding experience to help the mother and babies. ππ©΅π
Please share if interested in order to get her out before puppies Please apply to foster:)

We just received a call about these kitties found in Kensington, Calgary, by a trash collector in his big truck. He saw a dead one run over next to the trash can and got out and looked. He checked next to the dead one and three infant kittens, alive, were inside a grocery bag, apparently, the one that was run over had wiggled out. π₯
Foster care was needed however, the drivers wife went and and got the kittens and decided to take them on her way home to Trinity vet to get them checked. Trinity Animal Hospital said they are healthy and are going to take them to the Calgary Humane Society for their feeding. They were just born, umbilical cords still attached! Who would do that. How could anyone do that! Of course no idea where or how the mother is.π₯Ί
If interested in fostering newborns, you can check with the Calgary Shelter about being a volunteer. In meantime, we don't have any cat or kitten foster applications in and sure could use some for emergencies and urgent placement.π
Thank you! Application here: RockyMountainAnimalRescue.com

"This is Ravi Parmar, B.C.βs Minister of Forests. Every photograph that follows is happening in British Columbia right now."
Much of this story we are sharing are from another page. But,
In our opinion...
All of Canada needs to be better prepared.
MORE DOMESTIC WATER BOMBERS, NOT BOMBS, to prevent out of control fires. Provinces, and countries, need water bomb planes to put them out (just to name one thing needed to get climate change devastation under control). And not just BC of course. We should engage in international help and help each other. A year ago international firefighters with water bombers offered to help, Trudeau turned them down. National security he stated. Well, theses fires are also National security and our friendly countries we should take their offers to help. Money needs to be invested in water planes.
From another post:
"Families are being evacuated. Homes, farms, businesses and livelihoods are being destroyed. Animals are being displaced. Entire communities are watching years of their lives disappear in flames. Livelihoods are being horrifically destroyed as we speak.
The government keeps talking about wildfire prevention, but the results speak for themselves.
And Canadians deserve answers about what happens after these forests burn. B.C. has a system for salvaging fire-damaged Crown timber.
Why isnβt preventing the destruction of these forests treated with the same urgency as profiting from what remains after they burn?
These arenβt statistics on a government report. These are peopleβs homes, farms, animals and lives.
Stop managing the aftermath. Start protecting the forests."

In our opinion: The devastation of domestic and wildlife is unfathomable. Getting horses and pets out, the wildlife that can't escape.....it's unfathomable for us humans to comprehend. Photos barely show the terror, the pain.
