🌈 This weekend, the TransAlta team joined the Distress Centre Calgary at the 2026 Calgary Pride Parade.
Creating a space where everyone feels safe, respected and able to be their authentic self at work is central to who we are. This year, we’re continuing our support through community partnerships, including a donation to Calgary Outlink, an organization dedicated to offering peer support, mentorship and resources for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
A special thanks to the volunteers, family and furry friends that walked with us in support of inclusion and community!

💻 As we celebrate 30 years of operations in Australia, we're continuing our tradition of supporting the communities we live and work in.
Recently, our team donated laptops and accessories to Sam's Spares, a charity improving access to technology in Western Australia. Their team creates meaningful employment for neurodivergent Australians, transforming the refurbishment and reuse of donated electronics into long-term opportunities.
Thank you to Sam's Spares for helping us thoughtfully extend the life of our technology and reduce e-waste!

Earlier this month, our Bow Valley Hydro team safely observed an adult grizzly at French Creek in Kananaskis, Alberta. While moments like this can be memorable, they also highlight the importance of preparation and vigilance at remote or rural sites.
Our employees take regular wildlife safety training as part of our broader commitment to safety, including this years' training with Bear Safety & More Inc. Equipping teams with the knowledge and procedures needed to respond appropriately to wildlife encounters helps protect the people and animals that share our work environments.
