Yesterday’s donor appreciation event was a tender reminder of the power of community.

Hope and healing can be found when we walk together through loss.

Each person who participated and each impact story shared reminded us why grief support & grief education are vital.

The generosity of our donors makes CornerBend Grief Ministries a place where hurting hearts can be heard, stories can be honored, and hope can be shared.

If you want to join our mission by participating with financial support, today is a great day to begin.

Every gift is received with gratitude.

Do you feel like your heart is crushed under the weight of loss after loss.

If it’s all too much, what can you do?

Remember this:
God longs to comfort you through the empathy of others.

Please don’t isolate yourself.

Occasional solitude is healthy to process your emotions privately.

But remaining isolated is a danger to your well-being.

It’s not only wise but also healing to process your emotions with safe friends.

Even when there is no one, God is present to your pain.

Process your emotions with Him. He cares for you.

Did you know expressing gratitude benefits your well-being?

What are you grateful for?

Grief has a way of changing the way we see everything.

Some days, the loss feels so heavy that it’s hard to notice anything but your grief. And other days, a memory makes you smile with gratitude.

Both can be true.

You can deeply miss someone and still be grateful for the years you had with them.

You can wish for one more conversation while being thankful for every conversation you were given.

You can cry because they’re gone and laugh because of something they once did.

You can feel the emptiness of their absence while noticing the love they left behind.

Gratitude doesn’t erase grief.
And grief doesn’t cancel out gratitude.

In fact, sometimes our gratitude is evidence of our grief — because we are grateful for something we loved deeply enough to miss.

Grief and gratitude aren’t opposites.

They can sit side by side, reminding us that even in loss, love remains.

Rich in life because…

I get to walk alongside people who are navigating grief.

I get to listen to their stories.
I get to sit with them in the hard moments.
I get to remind them they don’t have to grieve alone.
I get to equip others to show up well for someone who is hurting.
And I get to share the hope I’ve found through my own journey of loss.

This is what gets me up in the morning.

Not because companioning grievers is easy—but because I know how much it matters to have someone beside you when your world has shattered.

I feel incredibly rich in life because my purpose is clear. I get to turn my own experience with loss into something that can help others.

This is why I do what I do.

Want to experience this rich life, too?
Let’s talk about how you can be involved in CornerBend Grief Ministries. 🤍

How do you celebrate someone who isn’t here to celebrate with you?

Happy 37th Birthday in Heaven, Jordan. 🤍

We welcomed you into this world in 1989. You arrived & left early.

And for 14 birthdays, we’ve had to learn how to celebrate your life without you here.

Fourteen years of missing your thoughtfulness & quick wit.
Fourteen years of wishing you were here for the ordinary moments and the big ones.
Fourteen years of carrying the love we have for you into every season of life.

We’ve chosen to mourn well, moving forward without your physical presence —and yet, you have never stopped being part of our story.

Your life mattered.
Your story matters.
And your memory continues to make an impact.

Losing Jordan changed our lives forever, but his life continues to inspire the way we care for others.

From that pain of loss, CornerBend Grief Ministries grew into a meaningful purpose. We honor Jordan by offering hope, support and practical resources to people walking through their grief journey.

We invite you to celebrate Jordan’s birthday with a gift that will bless others.

If Jordan’s life has touched you, and you feel led to honor his memory, we encourage you to make a donation to CornerBend Grief Ministries. Your gift can help ensure that someone facing the pain of loss does not have to walk through it alone.

Even the smallest kindness can make a difference.

There is no obligation to give. Your prayers, your memories of Jordan and the simple act of sharing his story are meaningful gifts, too.

But if you choose to donate, please know that your generosity will help carry forward the compassion and care that grew from his brief life on earth.

37 years of Jordan.
14 years of missing him.
A lifetime of loving him.
And a legacy that continues.

Happy birthday, Jordan.
We love you. We miss you.

If you’d like to help us honor Jordan’s memory, each gift to CornerBend Grief Ministries is celebrated with gratitude.

Happy Grandparents’ Day!

One of the greatest ways to love your grandchildren is to faithfully pray for them.

And when they are old enough to understand, share specifically what you are praying about.

Here’s what I’m praying:

Lord God, I pray my grandkids will enjoy a rich relationship with You. Bless them with discernment to make wise choices.

Give them eyes to see the best in others.

Keep their ears sensitive to hear your whispers. Give them a willing spirit to obey.

Put encouraging words in their mouth that lift others up.

Grow their enthusiasm for healthy pursuits.

When they walk through difficult times, help them stand firm on your promises.

Make them attractive with qualities of humility, kindness, & generosity.

Thank you for blessing my grandchildren with everything they need to live for you, Jesus.

Amen.

Why is it important for you to be grief-informed?

And what could this possibly have to do with your grandchildren?

It may be years before your grandkids will experience the death of a special person.

But there are many different kinds of loss they’ll experience- even as youngsters.

- loss of friendships
- loss of a beloved pet
- parents' divorce
- physical or mental limitations
- unmet expectations
- being bullied
- consequences of poor choices

Your ability to express empathy matters more than you may realize.

Empathy accelerates trust with a grieving soul. And trust is oxygen to healthy relationships.
