We are an immigration consultancy firm managed by our director Nivin Magdy Adib Eskarous who has been a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) since 2012. For our business clients, we understand that in many instances, the business needs require different approaches and we offer the flexibility to customize our process, timings and efforts in order to meet the business needs of our clients and ensure the continuation of smooth transition of staff as we assist them in preparing the required immigration documents for their staff and during the intracompany transfers and commencement of new projects in Canada. We understand their needs which is an accumulated knowledge we possess after years of experiencing different businesses’ needs and participating support throughout their challenging situations. At Immigration Gateway, Our learning journey never stops. We always learn and improve and offer more solutions to our clients and we never compromise when it comes to transparency and integrity. On the other side, we’ve gained a lot of experience which our director, Nivin, choose to share with other immigration representatives in order to spread the knowledge and offer better service to our clients. For this reason, she founded our sister company: Canadian Professional Career Academy in May 2015. She also founded our International Education Consultancy : Canadian Professional Services Inc. in 2020 to assist international students with their applications for admission to colleges and universities in Canada, USA, Australia and UK.

New Canadian Citizenship Rules (2025–2026): Many More People May Now Qualify
Canada has introduced major changes to the Citizenship Act, significantly expanding who can claim Canadian citizenship by descent. These changes took effect December 15, 2025, and they may allow hundreds of thousands of people around the world to become Canadian citizens, including many who were previously excluded under older rules.
If you or your family members have Canadian parents, grandparents, or other Canadian ancestors, you may now qualify for Canadian citizenship—even if previous rules said you did not.

Applying for Canadian Citizenship – Important Updates and Key Rules
Becoming a Canadian citizen is an important milestone for many permanent residents. If you are planning to apply, it is important to understand the current eligibility requirements and recent discussions about possible rule changes.
Here are the main requirements to apply for Canadian citizenship today:
✔️ Permanent Resident Status
You must be a permanent resident of Canada and must not be under a removal order or immigration investigation.
✔️ Physical Presence Requirement
You must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days (3 years) within the last 5 years before applying.
✔️ Income Tax Filing
You must have filed your Canadian income taxes for at least 3 years within the 5-year eligibility period (if required under tax laws).
✔️ Language Requirements
Applicants aged 18–54 must demonstrate adequate knowledge of English or French.
✔️ Citizenship Test
Applicants aged 18–54 must pass the citizenship test, which covers Canadian history, government, geography, rights, and responsibilities.
