1) The Underwater Waterfall Illusion: Off the southwest coast near the Le Morne Peninsula, powerful ocean currents move sand and silt in a way that looks like a giant waterfall is trapped underwater.

2) The Seven-Coloured Earth: Located in Chamarel, these sand dunes naturally separate into distinct bands of red, brown, violet, blue, purple, and yellow.

3) Home of the Dodo: Mauritius was the only natural habitat for the flightless dodo bird, which sadly went extinct in the late 17th century.
