This is my artist bio:

Cindy Ansah is a storyteller—a vibrant body of culture. As a multidimensional creative, she embraces her roles as a dance artist, actress, filmmaker, writer, fashion visionary, and muse, playing, creating, and collaborating in Mohkínstsis (Calgary) and across Turtle Island, where she actively shapes the cultural landscape with her dynamic contributions. As the Co-founder and Artistic Director of the all-Black contemporary arts collective, Not Another Political Playground Y’all (NAPPY) .Cindy bridges art and activism by amplifying Black artistry and collectivity in all its breadth, depth, and nuance.

Art on the Table celebrates the fluid connection between visual art and the body in motion.

A Mother’s Day special in collaboration with

On this day, May 11, 2025 , we celebrated the women who have held, nurtured, and inspired us — the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who continue to be the quiet muses in our lives. Love knows no bounds, it’s free and for everyone to have and hold forever and always.

Ash Studio had the honor of offering live portrait drawings, led by our two incredible artists, Anthea Mendiola and Crissa Cerrero Each portrait was carefully and beautifully sketched and painted by them.

Thank you to everyone who shared this love-filled afternoon with us. We are so grateful to have witnessed so many meaningful moments at the table.
