Hi, I’m Marisol, founder of Atento Home Care.

If you told me a few years ago that I would one day own a home care company, I probably would have laughed.

Life looked very different then.

Like many families, we experienced difficult seasons — job losses, financial uncertainty, raising children, caring for loved ones, trying to hold everything together while wondering what would come next.

Through those experiences, one thing became clear:

Caregiving is hard.

Not because we don’t love our families.

But because trying to do everything alone is overwhelming.

I know what it feels like to worry about loved ones.

I know what it feels like to watch families carry responsibilities that are physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting.

And I knew I wanted to build something that could truly help people.

That’s how Atento Home Care was born.

Not from a business plan.

But from real life.

Today, Atento exists to provide compassionate support so families can breathe a little easier, feel supported, and know they don’t have to do this journey alone.

About Atento Home Care

Atento (meaning "Attentive") provides high-quality, compassionate home care to seniors and adults in Calgary. We believe that care is best delivered when it speaks the heart language of our clients. We are looking for dedicated caregivers who pride themselves on being present, punctual, and professional.

What You Will Do

• Personal Care: Assist with daily activities including dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Companionship: Provide meaningful social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Home Support: Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Medication Reminders: Prompting clients to take pre-packaged medications safely.
• Atento Standards: Follow detailed care plans and maintain digital time-tracking via our mobile app.
Requirements (Must-Have)
• Language Skills: Fluency in English PLUS one or more of the following: [Spanish, Arabic, or indicate the language you speak].
• Clear Criminal Record Check: Including Vulnerable Sector Search (within the last 6 months).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in home care or a similar setting (HCA certification is an asset but not required for all roles).
• Reliability: Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
