Super excited and honoured to be a part of the Indigenous artist market hosted by Nanaimo Art Gallery

Well... today's email had other plans for me.
Twelve-week arts competition. I made it to week 7½... and then—bam. "Your score wasn't high enough."
I'll admit it stung. A bruised ego comes free with the rejection.
But here's the thing about being an artist: we spend countless hours creating something from our hands and our hearts, then hand it over to be judged. Sometimes it moves on. Sometimes it doesn't.
This time, it didn't.
I'm choosing to take the lesson, keep my sense of humour, refill the bead tray, and get back to work. Because one "no" doesn't get to decide where this journey ends.
Onward. The next piece won't make itself. ❤️

What an incredible weekend! ❤️

Three days of amazing sales, SO many laughs, reunions with past customers, meeting new people, catching up with friends, and spending time with fellow vendors who have turned into friends. There was just so much fun to be had!

Our top sellers this weekend were garden art, tumblers and pumpkins — you guys kept us busy! 🎃🌿🍷

Tideline is my mom and I, and this photo feels pretty special because behind the two of us is a whole lot of family, love and support that makes it all happen.

A HUGE thank you to my dad and my brother Dakota for hauling and packing all my stuff there and back. Because apparently making all the glass isn’t enough work — somebody has to move the mountain of boxes too! 😂❤️
