Moss on your roof?
Cleaning is not just a solution (dilution is not a solution).

Moss is a sign of condensation being accumulated on the roof because of poor ventilation, excessive moisture and humidity and lack of direct sun heat.

Tip:
The proper approach to the problem is to have the root vented properly and with the correct system.

Here are some big tips of what to know .

1- does your roof have the proper ventilation? If your have a vented roof assembly but is not ventilated properly your house will not be efficient( hot on summer/cold on winter.
2- Make sure when you replace your old roof ensure that your roof company makes sure to install a roof vent ( roof ridge is most efficient)
And if new roof sheet is needed to have baffles
Installed.

SmartShell Renovation is proud to announce a new program created to help low-income families, seniors and retired homeowners in Castlegar and surrounding communities maintain safer and more comfortable homes.

Eligible homeowners will receive renovation and repair services at a reduced hourly labour rate. Homeowners will pay for materials at current supplier prices, keeping the total project cost as affordable as possible.

The program will prioritize essential work such as:

🔨 Minor home repairs
🪜 Handrails, steps and accessibility improvements
🚪 Door and window repairs
💧 Water-damage prevention
🏠 Exterior maintenance and weather protection
🪚 Fence repairs and replacement
🌡️ Energy-efficiency improvements
🛠️ Other health and safety-related repairs

Our goal is simple: help people remain safely and comfortably in their homes while providing honest, affordable and professional workmanship.

📅 The program launches in spring 2027, but early sign-up is now beginning.

Spaces will be limited, and projects will be reviewed according to household needs, safety concerns and available program capacity.
