A basement doesn’t have to be one thing.
For this renovation, the goal was to create a space that worked for the whole family, which meant thinking about what each person might actually want to do down here.
From custom w**e storage and a made-to-fit weight rack to a tucked-away sauna, creative space and the coziest little reading nook, every corner had a purpose (and a person) in mind.
Because when you’re renovating for a family, there really should be something for everyone.

Sustainability isn’t a trend we’re trying on. It’s part of how we think about building.
Riverside Retreat is a pretty great example of what that can look like.
The home performed 40% better than its reference home in its energy assessment, with solar panels that completely offset its electrical use, making it an electrical net-zero home.
Add two EV chargers and high-performance, commercial-grade fibreglass windows that bring in all that beautiful natural light, and there’s a lot happening here that goes well beyond good looks.

A place for family to stay close while still having a space of their own.
We love a garden suite for exactly that reason.
A home base for visiting guests. Or extra room that can change along with the people who live there. All on the property you already call home.
Sometimes a little separation is exactly what brings everyone closer. 😉

A custom home isn’t just built for a family. It’s built for the life happening inside it.
It needs places to come together and places to spread out. Spaces for busy mornings, quiet afternoons, work, play, entertaining and everything that happens in between.
At Beauvista Heights, every part of the home was designed with the people who would actually live there in mind.

We love watching the details come together on a project, especially when the craftsmanship is this good.
Here’s a closer look at the ensuite tile taking shape on one of our recent projects, installed by . From the mix of textures to those very satisfying shower floor cuts, there’s a lot to appreciate here.
Beautiful spaces come together in the details.

Sometimes the best part of renovating is making room for the things you didn’t have before.
Like a place to warm up, wind down and escape for a while; all without leaving home.
This sauna was just one of the details we loved bringing to life as part of this renovation.

September feels like a fresh start.
Back to routines. Back to making plans. Back to thinking about what’s next.
If a renovation has been sitting somewhere on your someday list, maybe this is the season to start imagining what it could become.
We’d love to help you figure out what’s next.
