There are so many parts to YEG Dream Tarts, but our tiny tarts have become an Edmonton favourite. Small, cute, and made for a little treat. 🤍
When I started and waaaaay before we had a store and a team, I was mixing the dough by hand and making the cream with a little hand mixer.
And that cream? It was so different from what we make today. I tried buttercream, then white chocolate, trying to find something I loved that would also hold its shape.
The good was getting started and making something of my own.
The bad was making versions that weren’t quite what I wanted.
The lesson was that I had to give myself time to figure it out.
When you see our Dream Tarts today, you’re seeing years of little changes. It didn’t all happen at once. ❤️
