Some projects have a much bigger meaning than you think.

This was my very first time making a sign like this, and I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful reason to create one.

It was made in memory of Baxter, a loyal farm dog, faithful protector, and deeply loved member of the family. His passing was sudden, and anyone who has loved a pet knows the kind of hole they leave behind.

I’ve always believed that having a pet’s name visible somewhere in your home after they’ve crossed the Rainbow Bridge is a small but meaningful way to honor them. They’re never “just a pet.” They’re family. Seeing their name each day keeps their memory woven into the life they were such a big part of.

I know that kind of grief all too well, and my hope is that this sign brings a little comfort and serves as a lasting reminder of a life that was so deeply loved. ❤️🌈🐾

The event we planned to be in, has been postponed. I guess it’s just TOO much rain. Hopefully we will get a new date soon.

This beauty is a letterpress type cabinet, used for hand-set printing back in the 1800s–early 1900s.

Each drawer holds individual pieces of wood and metal type, including early logo-style elements. Printers set every letter by hand, no computers, no shortcuts.

I’ve been collecting type for a few years, so finding this (at a price that didn’t require a miracle) at my favorite Antique shop, feels unreal. So excited to have it at home ✨
