A reminder that there is currently a bag of this coffee with your name on it. Well… potentially.
If you haven’t tried our Reserve Release No. 001: Heza Honey Peaberry from Burundi, this is your sign to come get a pourover and enter our giveaway.
But this coffee is worth talking about beyond the giveaway.
This is a honey-processed peaberry from smallholder producers delivering to Heza Washing Station in Burundi’s Kayanza Province, connected to the Long Miles Coffee Project.
Peaberries happen when a coffee cherry develops one single, rounded seed instead of the usual two. These peaberries have to be separated during sorting, making a lot like this much more deliberate and considerably smaller than a conventional coffee lot.
And in the cup? It’s incredibly complex, refined and unlike anything we usually have on the menu. We taste pomegranate, apricot and dark cherry, with layers of passionfruit, caramel, lemon drop and black tea.
This is our very first Reserve Release for a reason. It’s not an everyday coffee, and it’s not an everyday lot.
Order it as a pour over at either cafe, fill out the entry form while you’re there, and you could win a full 300g bag of Reserve No. 001. One winner at each location. ☕🍒
