Every photograph, story and memory adds another piece to the history of 180 McDonald Street.

Maybe you learned to skate there, attended a tournament, spent Friday nights roller skating, volunteered at an event or gathered there during a difficult time. These memories help explain why the building deserves a future as the Goderich Memorial Community Centre.

This Morning not only did we get fresh, hot coffee, but the GMCC committee also received a generous $10,000 donation from Steve and Mary’s On The Square towards renovations and operating costs toward the GMCC's $750,000 fundraising goal. What does the Goderich Memorial Arena mean to you?

Maybe it was where you played your first hockey game. Maybe you went roller skating, attended Young Canada Week, celebrated at a community event, volunteered, watched your children play or simply spent time with friends and neighbours.

Thousands of memories have been made inside these walls, and we want to preserve those stories as we build the next chapter.

Community support in action!

Randy had the pleasure of meeting Vlorat Vitija and his wife, Arta, at their restaurant, Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill, where they presented a generous $1,000 donation to the Goderich Memorial Community Centre.

Their contribution will help offset our “Open Ready” repair costs as we continue transforming the Memorial Community Centre into a welcoming place where everyone can gather, connect and enjoy.
