GP Tech’s First Day! So excited for the many things to come!

Mayor Jackie Clayton and members of City Council joined community partners today to celebrate the grand opening of the Grande Prairie Technical Institute.

Through hands-on technical training and career-focused learning, GP Technical Institute is creating new opportunities for young people while helping prepare the next generation of our local workforce.

Congratulations on the grand opening and this investment in the future of our community and region.

GP Tech was created to serve students, families, and our community through a hands-on, innovative approach to education—grounded in opportunity, partnership, accountability, and student success.

As a new school, we understand that questions will arise, and we welcome them. We simply ask that concerns be directed to the people and organizations closest to the work, and that information be verified before it is shared publicly.
