A MAJOR milestone for menopause research and care in Canada just landed. 🍁

GreenShield and Women's Health Collective Canada have partnered to fund a groundbreaking national study on the menopause transition. Led by The Partnership for Women’s Health Research Canada (PWHR), the Can-RISE study will explore how perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause impact women across workplaces, healthcare systems, and communities.

Here's how this research will drive change:

📊 Closing Critical Gaps: Uncovering the real health, social, and economic effects of the menopause transition using first-of-its-kind national data.
🩺 Driving Actionable Care: Translating lived experiences into policy, workplace support, and responsive healthcare solutions.
🤝 Elevating Equity: Centering marginalized voices to ensure care solutions are inclusive for every woman across Canada.

Scaling Canadian femtech globally means taking it beyond the U.S. 🌎

While most founders target the American market, Latin America offers a rapidly growing, high-impact growth opportunity for women's health. In our recent roundtable with FemTech Latam and FemTech México , we discussed why looking south of the U.S. border makes strategic sense for Canadian femtech founders.

Here's 3 reasons why you should consider expanding to Latin America:

1️⃣ Critical Care Gaps: While regional innovation is growing fast, key areas like menopause, oncology, and mental health are broadly underserved, creating huge opportunities for evidence-based solutions.

2️⃣ Mexico's Operational Engine: With a female population 4x Canada’s size, Mexico provides a huge consumer base, low-cost clinical trial access, and world-class medical manufacturing.

3️⃣ Accelerated R&D and Prototyping: High patient volumes across top university health networks let Canadian startups generate clinical evidence and scale faster.

Could Latin America be the missing piece in your global growth strategy? 💭
