Hello, Fall!

Cooler days, cozy sweaters, golden leaves, and officially Soup Season! There's justt something about a warm bowl of homemade soup simmering on the stove that makes home feel a little cozier.

One of my favourites for this time of year is the Creamy Maple Sweet Potato Soup.

Velvety smooth, rich and comforting, with the natural sweetness of roasted sweet potatoes and just a touch of maple syrup. A hint of warm spices brings everything together, while the creamy texture makes every spoonful feel like a cozy warm hug. It's simple enough for a weeknight dinner but delicious enought to make you want more.

What's your favorite soup to make when the weather turns chilly? Tell me in the comments below

65 Days until Christmas!

This Cranberry square is a perfect addition to your Christmas baking line up. With the almond flavored shortbread crust and gooey cranberry filling, it is perfect for the season.

Instructions:

- Cook cranberries, sugar, and water in a pot on medium heat. Stir frequently and mash your cranberries for about 15 minutes, until your sauce thickens. Let cool.

- Prepare a 9x13 pan with spray oil and parchment paper.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

- In a bowl, mix all ingredients for your crust together untill you have a wet but crumbly mixture.

- Use half to 2/3 of your crust mixture for your base, ( I like a little thicker crust, with just a little on the top ). Pat down into a solid crust. Poke with a fork to ensure your crust doesn't bubble.

- Bake crust for 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven, until the edges are just showing a hint of color.

- Spread cranberry sauce over the hot crust, and sprinkle the top with remaining base mixture.

- Bake for 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees until the top is golden brown.

- Cool completely before you slice into square.
