A DAY FOR THE CATS 🐱

SUPPLIES NEEDED ‼️ 👇🏻

Yesterday we were in multiple different towns in Central AB doing cat things & in the midst of it we collected some orphan kitties & could use some supplies !

🐾 We started the morning off taking our new intake Ash into the vet in Ponoka to update her vaccinations & make sure she was in tip top shape & ready for adoption.

🐾 Next we headed out east of ponoka to deliver some litter to a lovely senior lady who cares for 20 cats on her own. She is such a kind soul & any help we can provide her we’re always so happy to do so.

🐾 A quick stop at Old Macdonald Kennels for a quick drop off where we met a group of orphan kittens who were just dropped off. Our little animal loving human passengers would proceed to give their best pitches on why we should help by taking the orphan babies 💕

🐾 Then off to Stettler to drop off an adoptable kitty and load up on donations from the good people of Stettler! We are so thankful for the support this store always shows us - they are so appreciated.

🐾 Off to Red Deer where we picked up our adoption applications from the ⭐️ 7 Kittens ⭐️ who were adopted there over the last 2 weeks - how amazing is that ?!?

🐾 And then of course … back to pick up those previously mentioned orphan babies because who can say no.

Hope is STILL looking for an appropriate foster home OR adoptive or foster to adopt home!

She is really just a puppy in an adults body, she’s kind of learning and seeing the world for the first time and she’s taking it all in with a mixture of caution and confidence.

SHE LOVES TO PLAY, LOVES BUM SCRATCHES, IS SO SMART !

Hope came into care in early spring completely emaciated, shaking, wet, starving, having just given birth to her pups in a little dog house with no insulation surrounded by big male dogs 😞 It was heartbreaking.

Her past life has left her with some trauma around men and she’s nervous of things like brooms.

SOME DETAILS 👇🏻
• Great around women, have seen no issues.
• Doing great around female kids (has not been introduced to males yet)
• Doing great around other dogs. Would LOVE a dog she could play hard with. When corrected she is instantly submissive.
• Does great in an xpen.
• Walks good on leash but working on pulling.
• Knows her basic commands.
• Good in a crate but has not been crated for extends periods (is in an xpen)
• LOVES TOYS & SNACKS
• Is being introduced to cats and is doing well on leash but would not leave her alone off leash with a cat yet.
• Medium to low energy but when comfortable expect a solid medium energy.

⭐️ VERY FEARFUL OF MEN. working on this but it’s her biggest fear. ⭐️

💖 HOPE is a girls girl looking to join a female crew! She can be a running companion, a protector and the most loyal best friend. She really has such a fun personality, she’s so sweet and we love her.

WE NEED TO FIND HER A FOSTER HONE SUITED TO HER SO SHE CAN THRIVE. Her current foster home loves her but is tooo busy and has too many other animals to give her the attention she deserves every day.

‼️ TRAINING ASSISTANCE & SUPPORT PROVIDED. Though if you have the right environment you won’t need much with her.

Tomorrow is the village_of_clive GARAGE SALE DAY and though we wish we were more prepped and had a garage sale stand prepared for you all we don’t … BUT WE DO HAVE SHIRLEY!

She has been waiting for her forever home for 5+ months now and that is TOO LONG!

She’ll be set up in the Clive School Parking lot ready to say hi to everyone!

She accepts treats & donations and pets if you’re not looking to adopt 😉

💕 SASHA HAS FINALLY FOUND HER FOREVER HOME 💕

We’ve thought so much about Sasha’s rescue day over the last 5 months.

How everything fell into place. We weren’t there to rescue her… we didn’t even know she existed. But she found us, and then led us to her pups and after some hard work the whole family was safe.

We thought she would be adopted instantly… she was perfect. Great with everything, easy going, just the sweetest pup.

But event after event, application after application … she stayed with us for 4.5 months.

But now we know that that 4.5 months with her foster home was how it was supposed to be. It wasn’t failing not being able to get her adopted sooner, it was exactly how it was meant to be. More time in foster (which the fosters will cherish 💕) and then the family she was meant to be with showed up.

SASHA IS FINALLY HOME

And we are reminding ourselves that sometimes it takes days or weeks for an animal to get adopted and sometimes it takes months and years. And that’s all OK because the home that is meant to be will find them.

So happy for our girl and her amazing new family 🤗
